ISSUE
Support for the PATHFINDER diagnostic tool ended in April 2022. Later vehicle models, modules and software may no longer be supported.
There are various concerns that we have identified, these concerns have been resolved in different manual patch files.
To simplify the process for our retailer's we have created a combined manual patch. Instructions are included within this communication that explain how to install the manual patch.
ACTION
Use TOPIx Cloud and confirm that the application required is not currently available. Install the manual patch using the instructions below.
NOTE:
You will still require an access code for vehicles that are no longer supported within PATHFINDER.
NOTE:
ALL 3 manual patches MUST be installed in the correct order. Failure to install all 3 patches will prevent the PATHFINDER application from starting.
To apply the Manual Patch please, complete the instructions carefully.
- Select the 'Manual Patch' Icon on the Application Launcher screen. You will see a pop-up for the Manual Patch downloader.
- Enter 'GDS_VR_PF_ENHANCEMENT_1' in the 'Patch Name' field.
- Select 'Start' and the Manual Patch will download.
- Select 'Yes' when the patch download is finished.
- Select the 'Manual Patch' Icon on the Application Launcher screen. You will see a pop-up for the Manual Patch downloader.
- Enter 'GDS_VR_PF_ENHANCEMENT_2' in the 'Patch Name' field.
- Select 'Start' and the Manual Patch will download.
- Select 'Yes' when the patch download is finished.
- Select the 'Manual Patch' Icon on the Application Launcher screen. You will see a pop-up for the Manual Patch downloader.
- Enter 'GDS_VR_PF_ENHANCEMENT _3' in the 'Patch Name' field.
- Select 'Start' and the Manual Patch will download.
- Select 'Yes' when the patch download is finished.
- If the vehicle has been decommissioned on PATHFINDER:
- Navigate to the Desktop, locate and launch the icon named as 'Code Request' or 'Code Request.exe'
- Introduce the correct code for the required VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Start a new PATHFINDER session
- Complete the required application
