SITUATION
JLR Engineering investigations have found that, in some instances, software updates and configurations have not been completed after new headlamps, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) gears or electrical modules are installed.
Although the new parts will function without the replacement module routine being run, they will not be configured to the vehicle or at the correct software level.
ACTION
Follow the instruction(s) below.
SERVICE INFORMATION
When a replacement electrical module is installed, the replace module routine MUST be run by following the process in TOPIx Cloud.
- Open 'Diagnostics' tab in TOPIx Cloud
- Select the module to be updated from 'Vehicle Data' module list in LH column
- Select 'Module Programming' in RH column, within the 'Applications and Troubleshooting' list
- Select and run the applicable 'Replace Module' routine
