ISSUE

Unable to complete a workflow in TOPIx Cloud

CAUSE

  1. Symptom not available
  2. Test plan not available
  3. Bulletin Within Workflow missing.
  4. SSM Within Workflow missing.
  5. Component/SRO Missing
  6. TA/FRED concerns.
  7. 12v Midtronics Battery test concern.
  8. Midtronics software level 12v test concern.
  9. Application failed/Cannot diagnose.
  10. Body Repairs

ACTION

  1. Symptom workflow concern 
    • Try searching single word rather than multiple words. The less you type, the more options you will get.
    • Make sure spelling is correct.
    • The terminology used in symptoms is aligned with workshop manual.
    • If the symptom still cannot be found, select the closest symptom to the vehicle/customer concern.
  2. Test Plan concern 

    All repairs do not have test plans associated with it, therefore if you are unable to find test plan, you can still proceed to next step.

    NOTE: We are monitoring the data where no tests are available in the test plan, if needed more tests will be added in future.
  3. Bulletin Within Workflow 

    Technical Service Bulletins are not currently available within Workflow. This feature is currently in development and is expected to go live towards the end of 2023, as soon as this feature becomes available a communication will be sent out. Please continue to complete the Technical Service Bulletins and submit your warranty claim as normal.

  4. SSM Within Workflow 

    Special Service Message are not currently available with Workflow. This workflow feature is currently in development and is expected to go live towards the end of 2023, as soon as this feature becomes available a communication will be sent out. Please continue to complete the Special Service Message and submit your warranty claim as normal.

  5. Component/SRO Missing 

    If you cannot find the correct component/SRO in 'recommend a repair' pop-up - Jaguar Land Rover is continuing to address the above issues and any components which cannot be found are being added, with work due to complete by mid-June 2023.

    • Try searching single word rather than multiple words. The less you type, the more options you will get.
    • Make sure spelling is correct.
    • The terminology used in symptoms is aligned with workshop manual.
  6. TA/FRED concerns 

    FRED must be generated through workflow, if raised in other system, it will have to be raised again. In the next two months there will be a system improvement coming which will allow TA-generated FREDs to be accepted through workflow and avoid this issue.

  7. 12v Midtronics Battery test concern 

    For 12v Midtronics battery test concerns, please select startup battery as root cause in the workflow manually and continue the workflow to completion. This will offer you the correct repair instructions.

  8. 12v Midtronics Battery Test software level concern 

    TOPIx workflow requires Midtronics battery test unit to be at the latest software level (suffix-F for GRX3080 or -E for GR8-1180 or -D for EXP-1080). Please update your unit and retry the test.

  9. Application failed/Cannot diagnose 

    If you are unable to diagnose a concern or an application has failed after multiple attempts then please follow TA route, available in workflow link.

    If you can diagnose yourself, please manually enter the root cause component and continue with the workflow.

  10. Body Repairs 

    Currently Body repairs are not available within Workflow. This workflow feature is currently under investigation.
