Adaptive Speed Control Module (G2299362): Installation

  1. Install the Adaptive Speed Control Module (ASCM) to the bracket.
    • Install the ASCM module assembly to the bumper bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 4 screws.

      Torque  : 2 Nm 

    • Install the ASCM assembly to the bumper.
    • Install the clip.
    • Install and tighten the 3 screws.

      Torque  : 2 Nm 

  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .

  4. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

  5. NOTE:
    • This step is only required if the component was removed for access.
    • Choose a road with stationary objects on the roadside.
    • Following vehicles too closely will obscure the stationary targets from the radar, a gap of 2 seconds is recommended.
    1. Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.

      General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment 

    2. Select 'Cruise Control Module [CCM] - Service Alignment Mode' from the diagnostic menu.
    3. Make sure that all steps from the on-screen instructions are followed.
  6. NOTE:
    • This step is only required if a new component is installed.
    • Choose a road with stationary objects on the roadside.
    • Following vehicles too closely will obscure the stationary targets from the radar, a gap of 2 seconds is recommended.
    1. Connect the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment.

      General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment 

    2. Select 'Cruise Control Module [CCM] - Replace ECU' from the diagnostic menu.
    3. Make sure that all steps from the on-screen instructions are followed.
