DTC B1974-86: Rear View Mirror Module - Signal Invalid: Action

NOTE:

Ignore this DTC if the customer has not reported any clear sight rear view activation or deactivation issues and no other rear view mirror module Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) are set
To validate the repair, activate the smart rear view mirror and drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes on a standard road and check the smart rear view mirror function. Then check this DTC is no longer set within the body control module

Check the correct smart rear view mirror module is installed. Replace as necessary. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and perform the repair validation checks
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the body control module for any smart rear view mirror module communication related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and perform the recommended corrective actions. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
If the fault persists install a new smart rear view mirror module as necessary
