Switch Continuity

  1. With wiper and washer switches off, continuity should exist between terminals No. 4 and 7 of 20-pin connector. See Fig 1. With wiper switch off and washer switch in mist position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 18 of 20-pin connector.

  2. With wiper switch in intermittent position and washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminal No. 4 and 7 of 20-pin connector. Continuity should also exist between terminals No. 12 and 16 of 20-pin connector.
  3. With wiper switch in intermittent position and washer switch in mist position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 18 of 20-pin connector. Continuity should also exist between terminals No. 12 and 16 of 20-pin connector.
  4. With wiper switch in low speed position and washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 18 of 20-pin connector. With wiper switch in low speed position and washer switch in mist position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 18 of 20-pin connector.
  5. With wiper switch in high speed position and washer switch off, continuity should exist between terminals No. 13 and 18 of 20-pin connector. With wiper switch in high speed position and washer switch in mist position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 7, No. 13 and 18 of 20-pin connector.
  6. With washer switch on (press button in end of wiper/washer stalk), continuity should exist between terminals No. 8 and 16 of 20-pin connector. If continuity is not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch.
