Operational Tests

  1. Disconnect wiper motor. Connect jumper wire between positive battery terminal and wiper motor terminal No. 3. See Fig 1. Connect jumper wire negative battery terminal to wiper motor terminal No. 1. If wiper motor operates at low speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at low speed, replace wiper motor.
  2. Connect positive lead from battery to wiper motor terminal No. 2 and negative lead to terminal No. 1. If wiper motor operates at high speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at high speed, replace wiper motor.
  3. Operate motor at low speed. Stop motor operation anywhere except at stop position by disconnecting terminal No. 3. Use jumper wire to connect wiper motor terminals No. 3 and 5. See Fig 1.
  4. Connect positive lead from battery to wiper motor terminal No. 6 and negative lead to terminal No. 1. Ensure motor operates and then stops at stop position. If motor operation is not as specified, replace wiper motor.
