Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

PROCEDURE





1. Loosen the two mounting screws.
2. Apply vacuum to throttle opener.
3. Insert a 0.54 mm (0.021 in) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle lever.





4. Using an ohmmeter measure across terminals IDL and E2.
5. Slowly rotate sensor clockwise until the ohmmeter deflects and secure the two mounting screws.





6. Recheck sensor against following specs.

With 0.35 mm (0.014 in.) clearance Between Lever and Stop Screw: Continuity.

With 0.70 mm (0.028 in.) clearance Between Lever and Stop Screw: No Continuity.
