Battery Power Source Circuit Test
NOTE:
This is power source for all seat motors.
- At driver's seat, remove bolts for front vertical adjuster. Lift front end of seat cushion slightly for access to power seat ECU. Remove power seat ECU, but leave wiring harness connectors attached.
- Check voltage (backprobe) between 10-pin ECU connector "B" terminals No. 8 (Red wire) and No. 7 (White/Black wire). See Figure. If battery voltage exists, go to next test listed in SYSTEM TEST INDEX table. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Check resistance between 10-pin ECU connector "B" terminal No. 7 (White/Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair circuit or connection as necessary.
- Check AMP (140-amp) and J/B No. 2 (100-amp) fuses in fusible link junction block, next to underhood junction block. If fuses are okay, repair open in wiring between battery and ECU. If fuses are faulty, repair short in wiring and replace fuses.
