Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH (FROM UPPERMOST POSITION TO LOWERMOST POSITION MIRROR SENSORS VOLTAGE)
    1. Check the mirror position sensors operation.
      1. Connect the positive lead from the voltmeter to terminal VSSR (M3-2) and the negative lead to terminal E1 (M3-8).
      2. Check that the voltage gradually changes according to the table below while the mirror moves from the uppermost position to lowermost position.

        STANDARD:

        MIRROR POSITION SPECIFICATION

        Mirror position Lowermost --> Uppermost
        Voltage 2.8 - 5.0 Changes gradually 0 - 1.0

    1. NG: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
  2. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH (FROM LEFT-MOST POSITION TO RIGHT-MOST POSITION MIRROR SENSORS VOLTAGE)
    1. Check the mirror position sensors operation
      1. Connect the positive lead from the voltmeter to terminal HSRL (M3-7) and the negative lead to terminal E1 (M3-8).
      2. Check that the voltage gradually changes according to the table below while the mirror moves from the left-most position to right-most position.

        STANDARD:

        MIRROR POSITION SPECIFICATION

        Mirror position Left-most --> Right-most
        Voltage 2.8 - 5.0 Changes gradually 0 - 1.0
