How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures on the following examples.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
Go to next step.
- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION
Go to next step.
- CRANK ENGINE FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS
Go to next step.
- CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
- Check for a DTC.
- When any of code B2780, B2784, B2794, B2795, B2796, B2797, B2798 or B2799 is output, proceed to A.
- When a code except B2780, B2784, B2794, B2795, B2796, B2797, B2798 or B2799 is output, proceed to B.
- B: GO TO SFI SYSTEM (See PRECAUTION or PRECAUTION )
A: Go to next step.
- Check for a DTC.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (IMMOBILIZER ECU (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY) (SWITCH CONDITION))
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main SW ON.
- Select the item "KEY SW" in the "DATA LIST" and read its value displayed on the hand-held tester.
OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE OF TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
- Check for a DTC and make a note of the code that is output.
- Delete the DTC.
- Check if the DTC will be output once again, when the problem symptom is simulated based on the noted code.
- Without an output of the code, proceed to A.
- With an output of the code, proceed to B.
- B: Go to step 8
A: Go to next step.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Without an applicable problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- With an applicable problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
- B: Go to step 9
A: Go to next step.
- ACCORDING TO PROBLEM SYMPTOM, PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING
- PRE-CHECK
- Inspect with the hand-held tester (ECU data monitor).
- Inspect with the hand-held tester (Active test).
- TERMINALS OF ECU
- PRE-CHECK
- ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
