How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

NOTE:
  • DTCs for the CAN communication system are as follows:

    U0073/94, U0123/62, U0124/95, U0126/63, U100/65.

  • Refer to troubleshooting of each system if DTCs regarding the CAN communication system are not output.
  1. CHECK AND CLEAR DTCs 

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK CAN BUS LINE  

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK USING HAND-HELD TESTER VIA CAN VIM 
    1. Select "BUS CHECK" (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      A All ECUs and sensors connected to the CAN communication system are displayed.
      B An ECU or sensor not connected to the CAN communication system is displayed.
      C A few ECUs or sensors not connected to the CAN communication system are displayed.
    1. B: COMMUNICATION STOP MODE TABLE (SEE  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    2. C:  CHECK FOR AN OPEN IN ONE SIDE OF CAN SUB BUS LINE  ) 

    A: Go to next step. 

  4. DTC COMBINATION TABLE (SEE  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    1. Confirm trouble according to the combination of output DTCs regarding the CAN communication system.

    HINT:

    Previous CAN communication system DTCs may be the cause if CAN communication system DTCs are output and all ECUs and sensors connected to the CAN communication system are displayed on the hand-held tester's "BUS CHECK" screen via the CAN VIM.

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  5. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  6. IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM 

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  7. REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT: Go to next step. 

  8. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT: Go to next step.
