Front Seat: Replacement

HINT:

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  2. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER AND SEAT CUSHION COVER (See  DISASSEMBLY   ) 
  3. TURN SEAT COVER INSIDE OUT 
  4. REMOVE SEAT WIRE 

    Remove the 6 seat wires from the seat cushion cover and seat-back cover.

  5. REMOVE SEAT HEATER 
    1. Seat cushion cover: Cut the 34 tack pins which are fastened to the seat heater, then remove the seat heater.
    2. Seatback cover: Cut the 12 tack pins which are fastened to the seat heater, then remove the seat heater.
  6. Seat cushion cover: INSTALL NEW SEAT HEATER 
    1. Set a new seat heater.

      HINT:

      Face the marked side (part number) to the seat cushion cover.

    2. For part A, position the seat heater by aligning the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket.
    3. For part B, position the seat heater by aligning outline of the fin with the seat cushion cover's seam.
    4. For part C, position the seat heater by aligning the fin with the seat cushion cover's seam.
    5. Using a tacker, attach tack pins to the side of the seat heater in the order from 1 to 12 and then attach the center part with tack pin.

      Tacker: BANZAI 303XT or equivalent 

      NOTE: Do not substitute other metal part in place of tack pins. Insufficient distance between the heater and cover may result in damage to the heater.

      HINT:

      • For mark a, align the fins of the seat heater against the cover's seam and attach them at the margin with a tack pins.
      • For mark b, align the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket and attach them with a tack pins.
      • Attach tack pins on the seam side so that the wire can be threaded through the hole from the fold side.
      • Sewing thread can be substituted for tack pins.

        However, allow a distance of 6 - 7 mm (0.24 - 0.28 in.) between both sewed parts of the heater and cover.

  7. Seatback cover: INSTALL NEW SEAT HEATER 
    1. Set a new seat heater.

      HINT:

      Face the marked side (part number) to the seat cushion cover.

    2. For part A, position the seat heater by aligning the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket.
    3. Using a tacker, attach the seat heater to the seat back cover.

      Tacker: BANZAI 303XT or equivalent 

      NOTE: Do not substitute other metal part in place of tack pins. Insufficient distance between the heater and cover may result in damage to the heater.

      HINT:

      • Attach tack pins on the seam side so that the wire can be threaded through the hole from the fold side.
      • For part B, attach tack pins to the margin of the Velcro.
      • Sewing thread can be substituted for tack pins.

        However, allow a distance of 6 - 7 mm (0.24 - 0.28 in.) between both sewed parts of the heater and cover.

  8. INSTALL SEAT WIRE 

    Install the 6 seat wires to the seat cushion cover and seatback cover.

    HINT:

    Pass the wire over the seat heater as shown in the illustration.

  9. REVERSE SEAT COVER BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION 
  10. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER AND SEAT CUSHION COVER (See  REASSEMBLY   ) 
  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT (See  INSTALLATION   )
