Data List/Active Test

  1. DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    Using the DATA LIST displayed on the hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator, etc. without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as the first step of troubleshooting is one way to shorten the labor time.

    1. Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Read the DATA LIST according to the display on the tester.

  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Performing the hand-held tester ACTIVE TEST allows relay, VSV, actuator and other items to be operator without removing any parts. Performing the ACTIVE TEST early in troubleshooting is one way to shorten the labor time. The DATA LIST can be displayed during the ACTIVE TEST.

    1. Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Perform the ACTIVE TEST according to the display on the tester.
