Inspection Procedure

CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (ECM BRANCH WIRE)

Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Disconnect the ECM connector (E6) from the ECM.

Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION TABLE

Tester connection	Condition	Specified value
E6-33 (CANH) - E6-34 (CANL)	Ignition switch off	54 to 69 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE ECM BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)

OK: Go to Next Step

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (+B, +B2, E1)

Reconnect the ECM connector (E6) to the ECM.
Disconnect the ECM connectors (E5) and (E7) from the ECM.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION TABLE

E7-1 (E1) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage

VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION TABLE

E5-1 (+B) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	10 to 14 V
E5-2 (+B2) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	10 to 14 V
