Inspection Procedure

READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
2. Check the cruise control switch assy using DATA LIST.

1. NG: GO TO STEP 2
2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSY

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the cruise control main switch connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the Fig 3 .
Standard:

1. NG: REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY
1. Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assy connector ECM side.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the Fig 4 .
  Standard:

1. NG: REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE SPIRAL CABLE )
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY-BODY GROUND)
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the Fig 6 .
  Standard:

1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY-BODY GROUND)
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY - ECM)
1. Disconnect the E5 connector of ECM.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the Fig 8 .
  Standard:
