Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
- Remove the courtesy lamp switch assy.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
CHECKING RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - Switch body Switch pushed 10 kΩ or higher 1 - Switch body Switch free Below 1 Ω NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
OK: Go To Next Step.
- INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the front power seat switch connector.
- Install the courtesy lamp switch assy.
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
Driver Side:
CHECKING VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition M6-3 (DCTY) - Body ground Driver side door courtesy lamp switch pushed --> free 10 kΩ or higher --> Below 1 Ω Front Passenger Side:
CHECKING VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition M8-3 (PCTY) - Body ground Front passenger side door courtesy lamp switch pushed --> free 10 kΩ or higher --> Below 1 Ω NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
