Theft Deterrent System

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE - THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM

Symptom Suspect Area
No alerting condition is operated. (The system cannot be set.)
  1. Theft deterrent indicator circuit
  2. Key unlock warning switch circuit
  3. Courtesy switch circuit
  4. Door unlock detection switch circuit
  5. Engine hood courtesy switch circuit
  6. Luggage room door courtesy switch circuit
  7. Any door ECU
  8. Body ECU No. 2
  9. Body ECU No. 1
Cannot be canceled when IG is ON with a key.
  1. Key unlock warning switch circuit
  2. Ignition switch circuit
  3. Body ECU No. 2
  4. Body ECU No. 1
Cannot be canceled when unlocking the luggage compartment door with a key.
  1. Luggage room courtesy switch circuit
  2. Body ECU No. 1
Some of the system does not operate. (Headlight does not light up.)
  1. Headlight relay circuit
  2. Body ECU No. 2
  3. Body ECU No. 1
Some of the system does not operate. (Taillight does not light up.)

Theft deterrent horn or horn does not sound

During warning condition, cannot be canceled by unlocking the door with a key.
  1. Door key lock and unlock switch circuit
  2. Driver Door ECU (or Passenger Door ECU)

During warning condition, cannot be canceled by unlocking the door with a key. (transmitter)
  1. Transmitter
  2. Wireless tuner circuit
  3. Body ECU No. 1
During warning condition, cannot be cancelled by turning the ACC or ON with a key.
  1. Ignition switch
  2. Key unlock warning switch circuit

The system operated for more 60 records.
