Inspection Procedure

  1. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between navigation ECU and television camera ECU. 
    1. Disconnect the connector from navigation ECU and television camera ECU.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      R - R1 Always Below 1 Ω
      G - G1 Always Below 1 Ω
      B- B1 Always Below 1 Ω
      SYNC - SYN1 Always Below 1 Ω
      VR - VR1 Always Below 1 Ω
      VG - VG1 Always Below 1 Ω
      R - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      SYNC - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      VR - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  2. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between television camera ECU and malti-display assembly. 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the television camera ECU and multi-display assembly.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      R (T31-10) - R (M5-24) Always Below 1 Ω
      G (T31-11) - G (M5-25) Always Below 1 Ω
      B (T31-12) - B (M5-26) Always Below 1 Ω
      SYNC(T31-31) - SYNC (M5-27) Always Below 1 Ω
      VR (T31-32) - VR (M5-23) Always Below 1 Ω
      VG (T31-9) - VG (M5-28) Always Below 1 Ω
      R (T31-10) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G (T31-11) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B (T31-12) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      SYNC (T31-31) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      VR (T31-32) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  3. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between television camera ECU and television camera. 
    1. Disconnect the T31 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Disconnect the T30 connector from the television camera assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      CB+ (T31 -20) - CB+ (T30-4) Always Below 1 Ω
      CGND (T31-19) - CGND (T30-3) Always Below 1 Ω
      CV+ (T31 -40) - CV+ (T30-2) Always Below 1 Ω
      CV- (T31-39) - CV- (T30-1) Always Below 1 Ω
      CB+ (T31 -20) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      CGND (T31-19) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      CV+ (T31 -40) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      CV- (T31-39) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  4. Check voltage between terminals +CB and CGND of television camera. 
    1. Connect the T31 connector to the television camera ECU.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      CB+ (T30-4) - CGND (T30-3) IG SW ON, shift lever R position Approx. 6 V

    1. NG: Replace television camera ECU. 
    2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms table. (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ).
