Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Installation
- INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side)
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring of the oil control valve.
- Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve. - Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
- INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side)
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring of the oil control valve.
- Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve. - Connect the oil control valve connector.
- INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT COLD START FUEL INJECTOR ASSY (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL ENGINE REAR COVER (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT WATER BYPASS HOSE (see INSPECTION )
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (see INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE (see INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side)
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring of the oil control valve.
- Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve. - Install the V-bank cover bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
- INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side)
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring of the oil control valve.
- Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve. - Connect the oil control valve connector.
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER (see INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (see INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (see INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER (see INSTALLATION )
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION
).
- DRIVING TEST
- After the engine is warmed up, perform the driving test. Then check that the oil control valve operates normally.
