Inspection Procedure

INSPECT COMBINATION METER (SPEEDOMETER)
1. Drive the vehicle and check that the function of the speedometer on the combination meter is normal.
  OK: Actual vehicle speed and the speed indicated on the speedometer are the same.
NG: GO TO METER/GAUGE SYSTEM

OK: Go To Next Step

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)

Disconnect the C11 meter connector.
Disconnect the S39 amplifier connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

COMBINATION METER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
C11-14 - S39-11 (SPD)	Always	Below 1 Ω
C11-14 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
