How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the pre-collision system.
- The intelligent tester should be used in steps 2, 3 and 5.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- Perform bus check (Communication malfunctioning DTC).
- Perform bus check (Communication Bus check). ResultDTC CONDITION REFERENCE CHART
DTC Condition Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION -- ES350
A: Go to next step.
- Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Check for DTCs.
- Record the DTCs.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Recheck for DTCs.
- Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result
