July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT AFS ECU 
    1. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A29-1 - A29-2 Engine switch off Below 1 V
      A29-1 - A29-2 Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A29 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A29-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT AFS ECU 
    1. Disconnect the A29 connector.
    2. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A29-1 - A29-2 Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BATTERY) 

    OK: REPLACE AFS ECU
