How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the pre-collision system.
- The intelligent tester should be used in steps 2, 3, 4 and 6.

- CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the intelligent tester to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.
Result:

- Use the intelligent tester to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the intelligent tester to check for normally functioning of CAN communication system.
B: GO TO DTC CHART

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Check for DTCs.
- Record the DTCs.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Recheck for DTCs.
- Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result:
DTC RESULTDTC Condition Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B No DTC is output, and malfunction cannot be duplicated or checked C
