Cylinder Block: Replacement

  1. REPLACE STRAIGHT PIN 
    NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the straight pins unless they are being replaced.
    1. Remove the straight pins.
    2. Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap in new straight pins to the cylinder block.

    Standard Protrusion 

    STRAIGHT PIN PROTRUSION SPECIFICATION

    Item Specified Condition
    Pin A 23 mm (0.906 in.)
    Pin B 11 mm (0.433 in)
    Pin C 9 mm (0.354 in.)
    Pin D 6 mm (0.236 in)
  2. REPLACE STUD BOLT 
    NOTE: If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.
    1. Remove the stud bolts
    2. Using E8 and E10 "TORX" socket wrenches, install the stud bolts

    Torque: Bolt A 

    10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    Bolt B 

    9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
