Shift Lock System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below

      HINT.

      Disconnect the solenoid connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (SLS-) - 4 (SLS+) Always 104 to 126 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the transmission floor shift assembly

    2. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

      HINT.

      Disconnect the solenoid connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (P+) - 2 (P-) Parking position switch pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 (P+) - 2 (P-) Parking position switch released Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the transmission floor shift assembly
