Jam Protection Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION
- This symptom may occur to all door windows.
The jam protection function operate within a specified range during the manual UP or AUTO UP operation.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialization
(a) Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly.
(b) Check if the power window AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally.
OK:
AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally.
NG -- END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION OPERATING RANGE
(a) Check if the jam protection function operates normally for applicable power window.
HINT: The jam protection function does not operate from the fully closed position of the door glass to 4 mm (0.16 in.) below that.

OK:
Jam protection function operates normally.
