How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC* 
    1. Refer to the DTC check/clear (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
  4. CHECK INITIAL CHECK FUNCTION 
    1. Refer to the operation check (see OPERATION CHECK ).

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      Symptom does not occur A
      Symptom occurs B

    B:  Go to step  6

    A: Go to Next Step 

  5. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
    1. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
  6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Refer to CAN communication system (see CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ).

    HINT:

    The clearance warning ECU or parking assist ECU is connected to the CAN communication system. Therefore, be sure to check that there are no problems in the CAN communication system before performing troubleshooting.

  7. DTC CHECK* 
    1. Refer to the DTC check/clear (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is output A
      DTC is not output B

    B:  Go to step  9

    A: Go to Next Step 

  8. DTC CHART 
    1. Refer to the diagnostic trouble code chart (see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).

  9. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the problem symptoms table (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
  10. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 
  11. IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM 
  12. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  13. CONFIRMATION TEST
