Check Mode Procedure

NOTE:
Select "SIGNAL CHECK" from the "DTC CHECK" screen displayed on the intelligent tester to clear the output DTCs (both present and past).
HINT:
- DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.
- Perform the check mode inspection when a malfunction in each squib circuit is suspected even after the normal system code is output through normal diagnosis mode inspection.
- CHECK MODE PROCEDURE (Using Intelligent Tester or Techstream)
- Check and ensure the following conditions:
- Battery positive voltage 11 V to 14 V
- Transmission in the P or N positions,
- A/C switch off.
- Turn the power switch OFF.
- Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3
- Turn the power switch ON (IG)
- Turn the tester on.
- Select the following menu items.
- Intelligent tester- Select DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / CHECK MODE
- Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Check Mode
- Check and ensure the following conditions:
