Shift Paddle Switch: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH 
    1. Install the 2 shift paddle switches and 2 brackets with the 4 screws.

      *1 Shift Paddle Switch
      *2 Bracket

      Torque: 1.7 N*m (17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Make sure that the brackets are securely installed.

    2. Connect the 2 switch wire connectors to the shift paddle switches.

      *1 Switch Wire
    3. Install the connector to the steering wheel assembly.

    4. Install the clamp to the steering wheel assembly.
  2. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  4. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  5. INSTALL STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  6. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  8. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • Make sure that the cable has been disconnected from the battery terminal for at least 2 seconds before reconnecting the cable.
    • Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal with the front wheels facing straight ahead.
  10. INSPECT STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
