Removal [10/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the negative auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the negative auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2018]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2018]

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  7. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. for LH Side:
      1. Fold back the floor carpet.
      2. Remove the nut and acceleration sensor.
        NOTE:
        • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
        • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      3. Disconnect the connector from the acceleration sensor.
    2. for RH Side:
      1. Fold back the floor carpet.
      2. Remove the nut and acceleration sensor.
        NOTE:
        • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
        • Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      3. Disconnect the connector from the acceleration sensor.
