SUBJECT

Power Door Lock - Keyless Entry System - Automatic Door Lock Feature Disabled

REFERENCE

Ford Technical Service Bulletin No. 83-17-4

CONDITION & CAUSE

If an owner of a vehicle with a keyless entry system dislikes the automatic door locking function, by disconnecting the seat switch, this feature can be disabled.

ACTION

Under the driver's seat, locate the switch wires and disconnect the two wire connector. To preclude inadvertent door locking, tape the connector end to protect from touching a body ground source.
