July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

EGR valve

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose at EGR valve. Connect hand held vacuum pump to EGR valve, and apply 12 in. Hg. Observe gauge for loss of vacuum. Release vacuum from EGR.
  2. An audible "click" should be heard. If vacuum loss occurs, or "click" is not heard, EGR valve must be replaced.
