Test Procedure

  1. Start engine. Tune radio to a station where interference is present. Remove three-pin voltage regulator connector. Is interference present with connector removed?
  2. If yes, then fault lies with the vehicle entertainment system. Check audio connections and antenna for loose or corroded connectors. Check for other external sources of interference from aftermarket installed components or vehicle environment.
  3. If interference does not continue with generator disconnected, then replace the generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
