Test K: Speed Control Indicator Does Not Turn Off

  1. Check Speed Control Servo/Actuator For Short To Ground  - Turn ignition off. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator connector C103 (located behind left headlight). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If speed control indicator illuminates, go to next step. If speed control indicator does not illuminate, replace speed control servo/actuator and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
  2. Check Orange/Yellow Wire For Short To Ground  - Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C293 (located behind right side of instrument cluster). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and speed control servo/actuator connector C103 terminal No. 1. See Figure . If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace instrument cluster and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If measured resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Orange/Yellow wire between instrument cluster and speed control servo/actuator. Perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
