Seat Control Switch

Remove seat control switch and disconnect harness connector. Measure resistance between seat control switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See the SEAT CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE  table. See Fig 1 . If resistance is not as specified, replace seat control switch.

SEAT CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE

Switch Position Terminals No. Resistance: Ohms
Neutral (1) 4 & 8 Greater Than 5
Rearward 4 & 7; 6 & 8 Less Than 5
Forward 4 & 6; 7 & 8 Less Than 5
Front Down 1 & 4; 5 & 8 Less Than 5
Front Up 1 & 8; 4 & 5 Less Than 5
Rear Down 2 & 8; 3 & 4 Less Than 5
Rear Up 2 & 4; 3 & 8 Less Than 5
Entire Seat Up 2, 4 & 5; 1, 3 & 8 Less Than 5
Entire Seat Down 1, 3 & 4; 2, 5 & 8 Less Than 5
(1) Resistance between terminal No. 8 and all other terminals except terminal No. 4 should be less than 5 ohms.
