Test F: No Communication With Control Module
NOTE:
Air suspension/EVO steering control module may also be referred to as simply control module.
- Inspect fuse No. 8 (10-amp) in fuse junction panel. Fuse junction panel is located behind left side of instrument panel. Also inspect battery junction box fuse No. 17 (10-amp). Battery junction box is located at left rear of engine compartment. If fuses are okay, go to next step. If fuse(s) is faulty, replace fuse and retest system for normal operation. If fuse fails again, repair short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . after repair, retest system for normal operation.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect air suspension/EVO control module connector C250. See Figure. Measure voltage between ground and control module harness connector C250 terminal No. 16 (White/Purple wire). If 10 volts or greater exist, go next step. If less than 10 volts exist, repair open in White/Purple wire. Retest system for proper operation.
- Measure voltage between ground and control module harness connector C250 terminal No. 1 (Dark Green/Yellow wire). If 10 volts or greater exist, go next step. If less than 10 volts exist, repair open in Dark Green/Yellow. Retest system for proper operation.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and control module harness connector C250 terminal No. 6 (Black wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, see appropriate MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Retest system for proper operation.
