System Tests: Notes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected or modules are replaced, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE: Many test steps refer to various connectors. To identify connectors, use appropriate illustration. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION DIRECTORY  table under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
NOTE: After repairs are complete, ensure all components are properly installed, all harness connectors are connected properly and repeat data link diagnostic test.
