Forward Planet Assembly: Disassembly

NOTE:
Individual parts of the planet assemblies are not repairable.
- Remove the No. 9B forward clutch thrust bearing.
- Remove the No. 10A forward planet assembly thrust bearing.
- The pins and shafts in the plant assemblies should be checked for loose fit/damage. Use a new planet assembly if either condition exists.
- Inspect the pinion gears for damaged or excessively worn teeth.
- Check for free rotation of the pinion gears.
- Check for damage in the overdrive planet assembly.
