Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Lincoln Navigator and 2004 Ford Expedition. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
    NOTE: Prior to removal of the navigation system module, it is necessary to remove the digital versatile disc (DVD) from the navigation system module and store it in the customer case.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the lower LH and RH panels from the front floor console.
  3. Remove the navigation system module.
    • Remove the electrical connectors.
    • Remove the screws.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
