Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder-Non-Functional Lock Cylinder: Installation

  1. Install the bearing and the gear.

  2. Install the bearing retainer.

  3. Install a new lock cylinder into the column housing.

  4. WARNING: To avoid the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the steering wheel removal and installation procedure.
  5. Install the steering Wheel .
  6. WARNING: To avoid the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental restraint system reactivation procedure.
  7. Reactivate the supplemental restrain system. For additional information, refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Deactivation and Reactivation .
  8. Verify the ignition switch lock cylinder operation.
