Camber Adjustment: Front

  1. For minor camber/caster adjustments, loosen subframe mount bolts, and shift subframe. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  . If this does not allow enough adjustment, go to next step.
  2. Center punch spot welds. Loosen strut tower nuts. Remove the Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) nuts and brace. Using Compound Spot Weld Drill Kit (107-R1000), remove spot welds. See Fig 1 . DO NOT drill deeper than necessary. Remove nuts and alignment plate.
  3. Prepare strut tower and alignment plate surfaces by removing any burrs, and cleaning and painting any exposed metal. Position alignment plate, and loosely install nuts. Adjust camber and caster. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Check alignment settings, and readjust as necessary.
  4. Drill 3 rivet holes .12" (3.2 mm) wide through alignment plate and strut tower. See Fig 2 . DO NOT drill deeper than .38" (9.6 mm) into strut tower. Clean and paint any exposed metal. Install .12" (3.2 mm) x .25" (6.4 mm) grip range steel pop rivets.
