Power Seat Control Switch

Remove seat control switch. See Figure. Measure resistance between indicated seat control switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See SEAT CONTROL SWITCH TEST  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace seat control switch. See POWER SEAT CONTROL SWITCHES (TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED/HEATED SEAT SWITCH, LUMBAR SWITCH AND POWER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH)  in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

SEAT CONTROL SWITCH TEST

Switch Position Measure Between Terminals No. Ohms
All Positions (1) 4 & 8 More Than 5
Forward 4 & 6 5 Or Less
Rearward 4 & 7 5 Or Less
Front Down 1 & 4 5 Or Less
Front Up 4 & 5 5 Or Less
Rear Down 3 & 4 5 Or Less
Rear Up 2 & 4 5 Or Less
Entire Seat Down 1, 3 & 4 5 Or Less
Entire Seat Up 4, 2 & 5 5 Or Less
(1) With switches at rest, resistance between seat control switch terminal No. 8 and all other terminals should be less than 5 ohms.
