Transmission Selector Cable

1. With the vehicle in PARK, position on a hoist.
2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration.
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 4: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Grommet Removal Note 

1. Push the cable grommet through the floor pan.

Item 7: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Installation Note 

1. After installing the shift cable, it will be necessary to adjust the shift cable. For additional information, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .

Item 4: Transmission Selector Lever Cable Grommet Installation Note 

1. The cable grommet must be seated up against the floor pan tightly or water may enter the passenger compartment.
