External Controls: Notes

The transmission shift cable transfers the transmission operating mode from the shift control selector lever to the transmission. The indicated position of the shift control selector lever is transferred to the transmission through the transmission column linkage, then to the shift cable and bracket, and down to the manual control lever on the transmission.
