Removal and Installation
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the fan shroud. For additional information refer to COOLING FAN SHROUD .
- Disconnect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector.
- Remove the condenser inlet tube nut.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Disconnect the condenser inlet tube.
- Release the condenser inlet tube from the retaining clips and position aside.
- To install, use new O-rings lubricated in clean PAG oil.
- Disconnect the electric cooling fan electrical connector.
- Remove the condenser outlet tube nut.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Disconnect the condenser outlet tube.
- Disconnect the condenser outlet tube and position aside.
- To install, use new O-rings lubricated in clean PAG oil.
- Using the special tool, disconnect the quick couplers on the oil cooler tubes.
- To install, connect the fittings and pull on them to make sure they are fully engaged.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
- Remove the 4 push pins from the lower radiator splash shield and remove the shield.
- Remove the 2 cooling module retainers.
- Remove the cooling module.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
NOTE:
If equipped, remove the safety retainer from the connectors and set aside for installation.

Lift the cooling module up and toward the engine to remove it from the vehicle.
