Removal and Installation

1. Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. For additional information, refer to Antitheft and Alarm Systems.

2. NOTE: The ignition lock cylinder must be in the RUN position.

Using a suitable tool, press the release pin and remove the ignition lock cylinder.





3. If a new lock cylinder with keys is replaced, the new PATS keys must be programmed. For additional information, refer to Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT) Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment in Antitheft and Alarm Systems. Using Diagnostic Equipment

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Verify the ignition lock cylinder operation.
