Ambient Lighting
The ambient lighting select switch, the ambient lighting dimmer switch and the messages received from the MS-CAN are inputs to the ILCM. The ILCM uses these inputs to cycle the ambient lighting color, ambient lighting brightness and to turn the ambient lighting on or off.
The ILCM also receives messages regarding courtesy lamp door ajar status, illuminated entry status, accessory delay status, courtesy lamp delay status, battery saver relay status and ignition switch position over the network from the SJB. The ILCM uses these inputs to determine when the ambient lighting is turned on to the pre-set color and brightness setting or to customer selected color and brightness setting. The color and brightness setting can only be changed when the ignitions switch is in the RUN position, the parking lamps are on and all the doors are closed.
