Stator Support and Gear Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove and discard the stator support assembly seal.

  2. Install 7/8 Inch to 1 Inch Collet 303-D020 on the input shaft seal.

  3. Assemble Slide Hammer 100-001 and 7/8 Inch to 1 Inch Collet 303-D020 and remove and discard the input shaft seal.

  4. Remove the drive sprocket thrust washer.

  5. Using a suitable tool, remove the stator support-to-torque converter seal.

  6. NOTE: Note the location of the Torx head and the hex head bolts for assembly.

  7. Remove the 4 bolts and the stator support feed tube.
  8. Remove and discard the gasket for the feed tube assembly.

  9. Clean and inspect the stator support assembly for damage and install new, if necessary.
