Removal and Installation

Vehicles with 8 inch screen 

  1. Remove the Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) refer to FRONT DISPLAY INTERFACE MODULE (FDIM) .
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  2. Remove the 4 screws and remove the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) from the FDIM  .
    • To install, tighten to 0.6 Nm (5 lb-in).

    Vehicles with 4.2 inch screen 

  3. Remove the front floor console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  4. Remove the floor console rear trim panel.
  5. Remove the 5 screws and the remove floor console HVAC duct.
  6. Remove the 3 screws and remove the APIM  from the mounting bracket.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    • To install, tighten to 0.6 Nm (5 lb-in).

    All vehicles 

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
